Front Gate
We recommend a steel frame for all gates.
How we prepare your custom fabricated pedestrian gate:
- Measure the width of your hinge post, the gate frame, and the receiving post plus the width of the gaps for the hardware between the frame and the posts for your total width.
- Subtract two inches (2") from the top for the gap at the bottom of the gate. For example, a six foot gate is 72 inches so the frame would be fabricated to a height of 70 inches and placed two inches above the ground.
- Determine which hardware you wish to use and weld in the specific lock box for that type of lock set.
- Select a hinge option that works for your budget. We now recommend self-closing hinges with all our gates.
- Finally, choose your option for cladding the gate. We offer redwood, cedar, exotic hardwoods like ipe, batu, tigerwood, balau, garapa, african mahogany, or even composite materials like Trex and other materials.
